Multi-Media Still Life Drawing

Participants will learn how to manipulate a combination of 2-D mediums to maintain students interest as they learn the foundation of still life drawing.

SCALA Member's Invitational Art Exhibit

Farmingdale State College is proud to present SCALA Member's Invitational Art Exhibit. Since 2004, SCALA's (Suffolk County Art Leaders Association) mission has been to provide a source of communication, development and support for leaders responsible for advocating and facilitating quality art education for the students of Suffolk County.

The SCALA Member's Invitational Art Exhibit was started three years ago. The organization works to give every opportunity to art educators across Suffolk County to show their student's artwork. Farmingdale State supports SCALA's members desire to give tribute to the profession of art education while acknowledging members as artists themselves. The concept of art teachers showing their personal artwork while inviting one of their students to exhibit beside them is an ideal response. The exhibit has grown to be a show where SCALA, as an organization, celebrates its membership and the students they teach at the SCALA Member's Invitational Art Exhibit.

With the ever growing need for advocacy in the arts, this show opportunity will shine arts education at the collegiate level. Please consider participating in this event and promoting to the public that art is important in our schools!

Drop Off: Friday, May 25, 2012, Noon-2pm
Reception: Saturday, June 9, 2012, 2pm-4pm
Pick-Up: Thursday, June 21, 2012, 3pm-5pm
